New night driving glasses!
Do you have trouble driving in the dark because of very bright dazzling LED headlights? I would expect you to answer yes as it's the most common problem my patients mention when asked if they have any issues with their sight.
This time of year I get asked every day (and it's multiple times a day) if there is anything that can help with this horrible glare and dazzle.
Well now there is!
Last winter I was lucky enough to be given a pair of LED Pro lenses to trial (this was before they were available to everyone - so thank you Caledonian Optical for that!) to give some feedback about what I thought of them.
They really do work! Driving along roads were I would have been dazzled - I would find myself looking down to where the curb would be on the left hand side to make sure I stay in my lane and minimise the dazzle and temporary blindness from the bright lights - I found myself just driving normally, looking straight ahead. Very strangely I could appreciate that some headlights looked bright but it wouldn't "blind" me or dazzle and I wouldn't need to look away.
They aren't something I'd wear everyday because of the 2 different coloured filters within the lenses. (They are within the lenses not just a coating applied on top) They have a yellow contrast sensitivity filter which aids night clarity and the green LED filter. This does mean in normal light they do effect colour perception so they are very much a pair of glasses to stay in the car for me. They come in different lens types, so if you need just distance glasses or a varifocal to also still see the dashboard they have you covered!
They are amazing!
So if you have problems with night dazzle then come and get some LED Pro lenses for your night driving!
